Welcome to GM Artist Hub.

GM Artist Hub brings together many of the performing arts organisations & venues in Greater Manchester to offer our support to the independent practitioners, artists, and companies in our local area.

The network first came together in April 2020, led by The Lowry & funded by Esmée Fairbairn Foundation, as a response to COVID-19. In its first year, as the pandemic unfolded, GMAH offered advice, training, and support to over 500 local creative freelancers. As our partnership develops & evolves we continue working together to find ways to support our city region’s creative community.

We currently offer FREE 30-minute online Advisory Sessions on Mondays (excluding Bank Holidays) — where you can chat through your creative thoughts, get some advice, or develop your network & stay connected. NB no sessions are available to book with us at this time.

We host an ad hoc programme of FREE online Group Sessions to look at bigger developments as they come up — see YouTube recordings of March’s Considering Access in Your Work discussion (watch) and 2022’s in-depth looks at Arts Council England’s DYCP (watch) and NLPG (watch).

Throughout all of our work, we aim to listen and respond to what artists & creative freelancers tell us they need — please see our Guiding Principles.

With best wishes — Community Arts Northwest, Contact, Factory International, FutureEverything, hÅb + Word of Warning, HOME, Octagon Theatre Bolton, Oldham Coliseum Theatre, Royal Exchange Theatre, SICK!
